Registration Home

Whether your child is starting Kindergarten or transferring to Allegheny Valley from another school district, we want to make your registration experience as simple as possible. To register your child, please complete the online registration form linked below.

Online Registration Form

Once the form is completed and submitted online, please contact AVSD Registration at 724-274-2116. The online registration form cannot be submitted from a mobile device. Information must be submitted from a desktop or laptop computer. 

In order to complete registration, the following documents must be submitted via email to registration@avsd.school:

  • Proof of student’s age: Birth certificate, passport, baptismal certificate, notarized statement from parents indicating date of birth
  • Parent’s photo ID with current address
  • Two additional proofs of residency showing current district address:
    • Current deed
    • Mortgage statement no more than three months old
    • Active residential lease agreement
    • Utility bill no more than three months old
    • Internet bill no more than three months old
    • Credit card bill no more than three months old
    • Bank statement no more than three months old
    • Tax bill no more than three months old
    • An insurance document no more than three months old
    • A piece of mail sent in the past three months by the federal or state government such as benefits information, voter registration, or tax documents.
  • Immunization record: If your child’s immunizations are not current, he/she will not be permitted to start school
  • Any copies of custody arrangements indicating shared custody or a notarized statement from the shared custodial parent verifying knowledge of the child’s enrollment in the Allegheny Valley School District if applicable
  • Student’s IEP (Individualized Education Program) and copy of forms, if applicable

Kindergarten Registration

All students registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1. Registration for Kindergarten begins in March. For additional information, please contact AVSD Registration at 724-274-2116.

Pre-K Registration

All students registering for Pre-K must be 4 years old by September 1. Registration for Pre-Kindergarten begins in February. For additional information, please contact AVSD Registration at 724-274-2116.
